We’ve said it at least once, and we’ll say it again. Fall is the perfect time for family photos. The colors are popping, it’s not too hot, it’s not getting dark early yet. It’s actually a great time to get pictures for Christmas cards. This location in Forest Park had lots of beautiful trees.
The last time we took this family’s photos, the kids had their cousins jump in for a few shots. The fun continued this year with the same tradition. Drace Park was a great backdrop for this family reunion. Of course, we’ll always snap a few photos of just Mom and Dad, too.
A fun milestone to document that is often overlooked is a child’s first birthday. They’ve made it all the way around the sun – so celebrate! If they have siblings, you can also turn it into an impropmtu family session.

What a joy to see this family through the years! This time, a baby sister is added to the mix. It was fun to see the twins’ reactions to their little sibling. Again, being at their house made the shoot flow easier.

Mother nature shares such beautiful wonders with us. This family decided to take their photos at the neighborhood golf course. What a great area it turned out to be! Throw in kids and leaves, and you can’t miss.
Home is such a dear spot. What a great place to get photos of your family! It also shows great trust to be invited to someone’s home. As always, we love seeing the dynamic of the family as the shoot progresses.

If your family includes pets, let them come along on the fun. Obviously, some pets are easier to bring along on shoots than others. This family was a joy to shoot at Faust Park. Their dog did really well in the photos, too. When booking a family session, we can also get shots of just the kids, or just the parents.
