We love shooting in St. Louis’ Forest Park! This newly engaged couple had spunk, and charisma despite threatening rain. They were open to our fun photo ideas and a joy to work with. We look forward to the wedding in October.

Earlier this spring we spent some time at the playground with this dear little one! We just loved capturing her true joy and expressions of laughter as she explored one of her favorite places. Hopefully, you too can experience her excitement and innocence through our photographs. We look forward to working with her again soon!

Defy had the recent opportunity to photograph a professional dancer. Erin used to dance with SYREN Modern Dance in New York, but she has moved to the St. Louis area and needed new headshots. It was not only a joy to shoot her, but to be in the presence of such gentle grace.

Defy has teamed up with a great company for turning your photos into canvas art! Below are some samples of what the canvases look like.
Whether you select a gallery wrap or a framed piece, your artwork will arrive ready to hang.

There’s an old wives’ tale that rain on your wedding day is good luck. If that’s so, the couple from our latest wedding shoot is in for some luck! Even though the ceremony was moved inside, we were still able to take some photos outside after the ceremony. The wedding was held at beautiful Hazlehurst House in McDonough, GA.

Now that spring weather is here, we are looking forward to outside shoots, like this one! This family is moving due to the dad’s job. His wife wanted to make sure he had updated family photos to put in their new place. It was a fantastic shoot with a beautiful, energetic little girl. Even Grandma made it in a few shots! We look forward to more shoots like this!

Defy Photography got its first Flat Stanley in the mail recently. For those who don’t know, Flat Stanley is a school project where a young child sends a paper cut out of a man (Stanley) to people all over the country and learns a little about every place he goes. We took him to the Georgia Aquarium, Johnny Rockets for lunch, and then to play at the Centennial Olympic Park.

Even though it came early this year, spring is here! All the trees are in bloom, despite the recent cold snap, and I love seeing all the colors. Here’s a peek at what we get to see everyday.

Went to the High Museum this past weekend. After seeing the great exhibit for Toulouse-Lautrec & Friends, we had fun taking photographs inside and outside on that rainy day.
