How special to celebrate one of our repeat client’s growing family! We spent some time together both inside their house, and in their yard. The spring blooms on the trees made for a magical setting.

Beautiful outdoor wedding
Wedding season is upon us! Outdoor weddings have the potential to be gorgeous. This one was no exception. The colors were beautiful. And since it was in New England, it wasn’t too hot. We love to shoot in natural light and on location. So, if you’re planning an outdoor summer wedding, consider the time of day for the ceremony, and a location with lots of shade.

Graduation season is upon us. I was so honored to snap a few photos of my twin brother when he graduated with his masters recently. Let me tell you, College Station and A&M are a thing! It was “Howdy!” and “Gig ’em!” all weekend.
Mommy’s wedding dress
This family had fun strolling though Des Peres Park. The highlight, though, was when each of the young daughters had a turn wearing their mother’s wedding dress. What a perfect photo session for Mother’s Day!
April showers bring May flowers!
One of my favorite parts of spring is the emergence of beautiful flowers. Here’s a digital bouquet from across the country. Make sure you get outside this week and take time to stop and smell the roses!
Rehearsal moments
We like to show up to wedding rehearsals. It’s a great way for us to learn the layout of the venue, and get some great candid shots. Not every couple chooses to have us there for the rehearsal, but we love it! Let us get all those special little moments and details that often go unnoticed.

Here are more highlights from Samantha’s travels around our country. She likes shooting something that is cool to start with, but then has a hint of life to it. In these, you’ll notice some interesting architecture, pretty vistas, and at least a peek of people.
Welcoming little sister
What a joy to see this family through the years! This time, a baby sister is added to the mix. It was fun to see the twins’ reactions to their little sibling. Again, being at their house made the shoot flow easier.
Hoppy Easter!
Ask most kids what their favorite thing is about Easter, and I doubt you’ll hear suggestions of nice clothes and church services. Today, kids love the egg hunt! At our house, it’s a tradition to make tie-dye eggs (which we’ll eat later – yea for sustainability!) using science. Give it a try! Make a paste by mixing baking soda, water, and food coloring. Glob the paste on your eggs. Then, slowly pour vinegar over the eggs. Voila!
Views from Mexico
We saw Samantha’s photos from New Mexico, now for a trip south of the border. She enjoyed seeing the sights of Chichén Itzá, Día de Muertos decorations, and even the beautiful surroundings as she flew away.
