This precious baby girl was very bright eyed and with the help of Grandma we found a few smiles between those rosy round cheeks!

Family photos with a German Shepherd friend
Family photos are one of our favorite things to photograph. We love meeting new families and watching them laugh and play together. This fun family included their German Shepherd in last years holiday portrait session. They picked a local college campus with lots of greenery for a soft background and we had a great time walking around a fountain taking photos and laughing with their little guy! The dog was so well behaved and add the perfect personal touch for this wonderful family.
Everyone loves their picture taken!
When most people think of portraits they think of baby or children photos. Well, we were quite delighted when we were asked to take photos of this elderly lady! We were informed she wanted photos for Christmas cards and gifts and she had just bought new clothes for her birthday. We were sure to get all the outfit combos as well as captured her sweet personality. Since then, we’ve loved hearing how much her children enjoyed their Christmas photos from their dear mom!
Happy Anniversary Samantha and Tommy
This is a wonderful week! On Thursday, my husband and I will celebrate our 5th anniversary! It will also be the 10th anniversary since our first date. Wow, how the time flies. Meredith recently shot some portraits of us at the Marietta Square. She was also one of our photographers at our wedding. We really enjoy having our friend photograph us because she knows how to bring out our real smiles. The first photo you’ll see below is from our wedding day in 2008. The rest are from the square. We took some photos dressed up, and some in casual clothes. We even did a fun Kamehameha picture for Tommy.
Summer puppy love!
Summer love and puppy love, what could be a better combination! These two cuties are the newest addition to one of our families. They love playing with each other in the backyard, even tugging on each other! And once all worn out they love to relax on the porch. Watching these puppies grow up is quite an adventure and they are certainly not shy of the camera!
Family Photos are always a joy!
This family of three enjoyed an updated portrait for this past holiday season. With bright reds and blues to add to their smiles, we really enjoyed a morning at the local park. With all the running, swinging and playground exploring, this little princess was plum worn out by the end of our photo adventure!
Casual business portraits
We had the great privilege of photographing a dear friend for a publication. We had a casual outdoor session and were joined by her very friendly puppy! From forest background to rocking on the porch, we found many great photo locations around her home.
Wide eyes at 1 year old!
This curious little boy had quite the 1 year birthday! He helped with opening his presents, enjoyed a lion birthday cake and showed us his favorite toys during a private photo shoot. This is one happy and lovable little guy. We here at Defy would love to photograph him every day! Best wishes to mom and dad as they head into year 2!
Reliving precious moments!
Last year we photographed this baby boy just a month after he was born. Here are some of our favorites from that session. This year we were invited to attend his 1st birthday party and took some updated portraits of him and his family. We’ll be posting those soon! For now, we’re reliving tiny tender moments with this beautiful baby boy as he had his first photo debut!
First wedding on a cruise ship!
Late June we traveled to Lake George, New York for a wedding on a dinner cruise ship. There were many humorous photos coupled with sweet endearing moments. This couple is sure to have a marriage filled with both!
